boston visit

family mini vacation

What was a New York City wedding photographer doing in Boston? No, I was not shooting a wedding in Boston. That’s not until Thanksgiving weekend. Jeannie, Jonah, and I decided to take a mini vacation. We figured Jonah is old enough now to get some enjoyment out of touring Boston.

First, we hit up Barking Crab as soon as we got there. I have to say, I was quite disappointed with their food. I don’t think we’ll be going back there for a while. Then we went to Jonah’s favorite museum of all time – the Boston Children’s Museum.

The next day, we went on the Duck Tour, which I thought was pretty fun. Thanks, Captain Foghorn! It was almost a 1.5 hour tour. Jonah fell asleep on my shoulder before the tour was over. Hahah.

The best part of the trip though – stopping to eat in West Hartford on the way home. We went to Rainforest Cafe. The food sucked, but we bought Jonah this cheapo toy that he LOVES. It has supplanted his monster truck as his new favorite toy. He loves seeing these on the road in real life. It’s so funny. When we pass a trailer hauling cars, he’s always like, “Whoa!!!!!!” And then he laughs like only a child can when he sees one of his favorite things of all time.

I asked him which was his favorite car. He pointed to it with his toe.
