regina + yoonsuk

Last Sunday I shot the wedding of Regina + Yoonsuk at one of my favorite venues – Florentine Gardens in River Vale, NJ. That also happens to be the place where Jeannie and I got married almost 4 years ago. I love shooting there because the guys all remember me from my own wedding.

Gina and Yoonsuk had a Korean paebaek ceremony with the family members before all the guests arrived. So, instead of a traditional “first look” where the groom sees the bride for the first time in her wedding gown, we did a first look Korean-style. They wore the traditional paebaek wardrobes for their first look. Love the colors!

The rain was holding off for a while and we didn’t know whether the ceremony would be outside or inside. It was decided that it would be indoors because if it started to rain (which it did!) the ceremony would be interrupted and guests would probably get wet. Gina and Yoonsuk were good sports, though. We went out in the drizzle and took some pictures of just the two of them.

At this wedding, I had the awesome pleasure of having Matt Bailly, from Bailly Photography, be my second shooter. He drove all the way down from Albany, NY to help me out.
