everlasting moments

piff, paff, poof!

I’m totally addicted to Netflix. I stay up late at night watching movies on Netflix for my iPad. (It’s actually Jeannie’s iPad that I bought for her, but it’s really for me. You guys know what I mean, right?)

So, I’ve recently been watching some foreign flicks and a Swedish movie called Everlasting Moments was one that I recently saw. The movie is set in the early 1900’s and the woman in the movie owns what looks like a Contessa Nettel folding camera.

I went to eBay to check it out. I was originally just going to purchase it as a decorative item for my office, but then I found this cool little pocket camera from the 1950’s. It takes 35mm film, so I can use it today. I just got it in the mail and can’t wait to drop some black & white film in and try it out.

We’re moving soon to a larger house, so I’m thinking about setting up a darkroom in one of the unused bathrooms to develop my own film.

Don’t worry – I won’t be shooting your wedding with this sucker.
